DESCRIPTION:
THE EXTERNAL DRAINAGE CONNECTIONS TO THE EXISTING THAMES WATER SEWERS.
This comprised the construction of 3 new manholes and sewers to connect the site drainage to the existing sewers. These works included the excavation of shafts and headings and the construction of deep drainage.
EXTERNAL HARD LANDSCAPING AND SURFACE WATER DRAINAGE.
This comprised of large areas of varied concrete paving to pedestrian areas including external stairs with tactile paving, safety nosings, additionally porous resin bound aggregate paving. Macadam surfacing to pedestrian areas and porous macadam to an elevated sports area.
New drainage and the installation of extensive ACCO drainage and soakaways for surface water and connections to the new drainage or rainwater harvesting system. Installation of tree pit pcc linings and bank retention works involving geotextile stabilisation, gabions and RC pile capping beam.
