DESCRIPTION:
To design and install temporary works to excavate 8 no 3m square shafts 8.5m deep adjacent to Network Rail assets.
The works incorporate the break out of obstructions from previous site use in the form of brick structures and associated concrete foundations extending down to the London Clay Layers.
The temporary works involved the Cat III design, checking and submissions to Network Rail for approval. Key factors to the design being the proximity to the suburban lines running into London Liverpool Street Station and the sequencing of the excavations adjacent to tunnel abutments.
